Military households run on schedules nobody else has to work around: deployments, drill weekends, a PCS date that lands in the middle of a repair, a spouse handling the car while the member is somewhere else entirely. We are used to it. We will talk to whoever has authority on the claim, keep the vehicle safely while orders play out, and work around a move date rather than pretending it is not there.
Your Right to Choose the Shop
N.J.S.A. 17:33B-36.1 prohibits an insurer from requiring you to use a particular repair facility. Whatever list USAA offers, telling them the vehicle is going to Mickey's Auto Body at 282 Schuyler Avenue in Kearny is enough to put it on the file.
The Repair Itself
